We're finally looking to replace the ancient carpet on our stairs and upper landing. The carpet will also run into my office but all the other rooms, upstairs have painted wood floors (in F&B Railings).
Any advice on carpet for heavy traffic areas? What should I be looking for in terms of pile etc? I haven't a clue.
Budget - negotiable. We're looking for something that looks good but is practical.
Also: what colour would you choose? My walls are mostly white. I have a double height accent wall/ceiling in Mouses Back (F&B) and my office is French Grey (F&B). It's all very neutral.
I also have Railings (which is a beautiful blue-black) as an accent colour around door frames and on the wooden floors in adjoining rooms.
Thanks.
