Really fancy a dark green wall (think a whole room would be too much. What could I do on the other walls?

I’ve just done white on my other walls. Waiting for new bed to be delivered which will be ecru chenille. Added dusky pink velvet curtains, pink and green throw cushions and a green bed spread with cream embroidery.

Dds is dark green and magnolia. White ceiling.

Here’s a photo whilst waiting for the bed. You can see the bedding on the floor I’ll be using.

We have Beverly and Tailors Tack (both fnb) in our kitchen. Works well.

TheOneWithUnagi · 19/02/2024 23:14

F&B usually recommend "slipper satin" with their greens which is a creamy colour.
But I'd go all in and do all walls if it were me, it will look great 😀

We’ve got a dark green wall in our spare room then the other walls are soft wool by Valspar. It’s white, but much softer than a stark, bright white.

WaverleyOwl · 19/02/2024 23:26

We went full emerald green on all walls, and have gold accents in mirrors and bedding.

Synergies · 19/02/2024 23:27

We have dark green in our home office and my only advice would be to make sure you use eggshell/satin finish rather than matt, which marks horribly 😩

merrymelodies · 19/02/2024 23:28

Patterned/striped curtains with green and...?

Synergies · 19/02/2024 23:35

Good complements:

Mustard
Oak/walnut
Gold/brass
Stone
Chocolatey or yellowy leather
Rusty red

elm26 · 19/02/2024 23:36

We have a dark green feature wall in our living room with the other 3 walls a creamy colour and dark gold accents (lamp, vase etc).

ExpulsoCorona · 19/02/2024 23:39

Purple?

Heather37231 · 19/02/2024 23:41

Do all the walls. It will look great. Here’s mine (first pic shows more wall, later one shows new bed plus rug). If you click in you can see pale ceiling. I wish I had also done the skirtings.

I recently had a bedroom wall painted with Farrow & Ball Green Smoke and the other walls and ceiling in School House White, it’s a warm white that really compliments the green.

Oooo! Can I ask where you got the bedspread from? And is the furniture old or new? If the latter where did you source it?

What green paint did you use on the walls?

amispeakingintongues · 19/02/2024 23:52

Do all walls with perhaps a dropped ceiling in F&B slipper satin!! Will look gorgeous

ODFOx · 19/02/2024 23:54

Soft grey walls and paintwork. Copper highlights

Mine’s Green Smoke too.

Very pale pink

Try and find Interior Design Masters on iPlayer. Banjo, the eventual winner, did a dark green bedroom in "hotel room" week. I remember it was a very dark green - but lovely.

The bedspread is John Lewis, as are the green cushions. The pink ones are the Cotswold Company.

The furniture was my great, great, great auntie’s which has passed down the family. There’s a matching wardrobe on the opposite wall, plus my 50+ year old rocking horse in another corner.

The paint is the Johnson’s dupe of Farrow and Ball green smoke as I find they cover better and last longer. I did contemplate using an off white with it but had a big tub of regular white to use up, and this is a cold north facing bedroom which now feels much warmer.
