Dark Green walls in living room?

The decorator starts next week and I am tempted by a lovely colour called Pine Needles - its a very very dark green with blue undertones. It is for a west facing room which gets a lot of light. I have been looking at other greens but keep coming back to it, am just concerned it will be too much. White ceiling, woodwork and maybe chimney breast which is brick. Am I crazy?

Thanks @SchittOnIt - I keep having those moments - but I love it. And now I have uncovered the lovely sealed brick chimney piece, I am even more sure that dark is the way to go! I am glad you mentioned west facing room as that is what this is.

I have pine needles and absolutely love it ! We have a brown with hints of bronze on the chimney and green everywhere else and it's so homely ! Felt brave when I first did it and wasn't sure I was doing the right thing but as soon as the first wall was done I was sold .

We have an Emerald shade (so a bit lighter), but it's so much nicer than the white that was there before and it's had lots of compliments.

The green will look so elegant but def agree about not painting the bricks.

You can always change your mind on that later, but I’d say live with it first. I think it will look stunning.

Is dark green the new dark blue?
