To ask for a pic of your living room?

In need of inspo, bored with our current decor. Would anyone be brave enough to share pics of their living room or even just one small favourite corner? I love those type of threads and also need extra entertainment on a long train journey🤪

You didn't specify if the lights should be on or off...

This is mine, still a work in progress, as nothing really on the walls yet. May get a rug, or coffee table or something for the middle. It's only been decorated a couple of months, so I'm keeping my eye open for things I think would work in it. Excuse the child, I couldn't be bothered getting him to move off the sofa... it's his ipad hour 🤣.

You’d be better just browsing rightmove for ideas.

Putting up a photo of your living room would be weirdly identifiable to anyone who actually knows you who happens to be browsing MN.

I actually think it looks better IRL than the photos. A bit like me really 🤣. Can't get a good photo, ever!

I love mine. It’s my absolute happy place. We have a huge skylight at one end (you can just about see it in the empty room pic,don’t worry we do have furniture!) , and the light is amazing, sliding pocket doors. The best thing is there’s not a single piece of clutter. It’s the one room in this house that’s finished, immaculate and tidy.

It's a valspar colour match to f&b card room green. It isn't a perfect match though, which was only discovered once it was put on the wall! It has a slightly grayish tone, where as the f&b was just the green colour. I wasn't happy at first, but once everything was in the room, I realised it was absolutely fine!

It wouldn't be a good idea to share photos of your living room if it's identifiable on a selling site. It was immediately obvious that those were estate agent photos by the angle.
People will share private things online then be surprised that they can be identified.

What I found useful when I was redecorating was looking on Rightmove at similar properties in my area (I lived in a flat at the time). It meant the room size and window sizes were approximately the same and I could see how different colours worked in the space.

@JamMakingWannaBe yes I have looked on RM but cannot find anything remotely inspiring. Maybe for that I need to look at much more expensive properties but then I'd make me sad because my home isn't as big and cool lol

What an odd request, asking people for a pic of their living room! Pinterest for inspiration (there are many that are people’s ‘real’ homes) or, for something more down to earth, The Royle Family.
