We’d like to make a feature wall where the fireplace is and wanted ideas for what colour would compliment the fireplace best? Thanks

That's quite a warm tone of wood on the fireplace and mirror, I think it might go nicely with green. When you say feature wall do you mean a different paint colour or are you thinking wallpaper?

@heldinadream Thank you, I’m thinking of paint. My first thought was green too!

Another vote for green.

I love a green but really you need to look at the light in your room. Our previous house loved green and nearly every room had some kind of green. Our current house does not work with green at all! I can get away with bright accents on furniture with light acids like whirlybird but can’t do the deep greens we used to have.

That fireplace in itself is shouting Joas white to me.

The room is south facing with a bay window but isn’t the brightest. I was wondering about this sort of shade of green. We are planing to wall mount the tv where the mirror is too.

That's a lovely colour OP. 😍
Your TV is going to be quite high up, you'll need to angle it while you're watching? Could be fine I know, just pointing it out.
I've also heard that Farrow and Ball are not actually the best quality paints (I'm sure there are loads of different opinions on that!)

Mylands & Little Greene do some lovely rich green colours.

Greens look best in east west but you might be fine. Ours are north south so it’s less even the green that’s an issue it’s that the whites we have to use are all red based because the blue north light makes other whites look super muddy.

Our last lounge was green smoke accent wall and shaded white. It was divine pair.

And I completely rate f&b. It is unparalleled imo. I have tried little green, dulux etc. not as good at all. And the new dead flat is incredible with kids. I magic erased with pink stuff spray a load of black biro off our white dead flat wall recently. Mind blowing. My favourite for depth and colour change is still estate emulsion though.
