Laminate floor issues

Hi all, Please can anyone advise. A small patch ( about side of a tea plate) on my dark wood effect laminate flooring has discoloured to a much lighter colour than the rest of the flooring ie the discoloured patch is a med oak colour and the rest of the flooring is still in the original dark teak colour. It’s like the original colour has rubbed off over time. Because it’s laminate a regular wood stain or dye will not soak into the laminate and just wipes away. I have tried using a permanent black sharpie pen which coats the surface but rubs off within days ( the black colour sharpie is not ideal colour but I can’t think of anything else). Any ideas anyone . Thank you

I hate laminate, it’s basically a picture stuck on MDF. Is yours still available or do you have a spare piece, I suspect cutting it out and replacing the piece is the only alternative to living with it.

Thank you, I will replace the marked piece
