Hey there!

Seeking some advice regarding decorating colours. Just finishing renovation works (victorian house) and the painter is arriving on Monday but I haven't chosen the colours yet. 🙃

I am planning to use the same colours in the hallway and passage in the 2 spare bedrooms. Is this OK to do? I like the monochrome vibe especially as the flooring in the hallway is the original black and white tiling.

I have a full tin of FB hopperhead and LG scree (don't ask- bought them for the living room but never used them) I was thinking of using this for the woodwork (architraves, skirting and window frame) and a white for the walls. Anyone used these colours in the same way? I am concerned that it might be too dark especially if I paint the doors but I can't paint the doors white with a dark trim.... or can I? Soo confused.... can anyone give me some advice please?

Anything you like is OK to do. That's the only rule.

Having said that I wouldn't have grey, white and black all together. If you have a black and white tile floor, which sounds lovely, I'd be finding a nice proper colour for the walls. Depends on how much light you get in there.

of course you can if you like that look.
