I am at a loss of what to do with our square bay window. With a toddler that is keen to strip off I am keen to get some privacy but also love the level of light we get from this window. As you can see we do not have any symmetry and there is very large middle window and a tiny one on top. We have the same issue in the kids room upstairs.
I originally thought venetian blinds would be a good shout, but I worry they will seem cold and clinical without curtains. It was also mean clearing the sill of any photos as they take up space. Also would one giant blind across the front look strange?
Roman blinds look classy but will completely block the light when down. Again would I go for one giant one across the front or 3 individual?
Shutters sound expensive and could block more light than a venetian blinds. Also due to the lack of symmetry would I have 4 shutters cross the front, and would it look odd from the outside with the tiny window across the top. I imagine we would lose the sill space too.
I have considered perfect fit blinds as an space saving option, but I don't think they would do one small enough for the long window across the middle.
I tried a curtain rail across the front but there is a lintel, and when close we lose the bay and the radiator hear.
A track with shorter is an option but again curtain is either open and total exposed, or closed and zero light. I have considered a net curtain but worry this would look dated.
Any ideas welcome and photos of what you have would be a god send.
