Help me fix this!

I can't sleep because my brain won't switch off about how to bloody fix this wall. We got some of those little Da Vinci frames for the kids pictures but my husband put them up in such a stupid layout with those silly dry wall pin things so will have damaged walls if I rip the lot down.

B looks nice. I think the clock is jarringly oversized next to the pictures. Can that be replaced with something smaller?

Think my husband will divorce me if I say the clock is wrong as well! 😂

B is better, but agree, the clock is mahoosive so looks kinda wrong. Sorry.

I could move clock to a different wall and extend the frames like this?

But are they too low? And is that just too many kids drawings 😂

I think clock and pictures don’t mix well. It looks a lot better with no clock. It is a pretty clock, but dominating so better on its own.

Either get a bunch of different sized frames and hang them all as if they were within one large frame (or actually put them within one large frame) or use symmetry and hang say nine together in 3x3 formation.

I liked the pattern better in B. The vertical way rather than horizontal.
But that’s my personal taste. Perhaps ask the kids? Kids often have ideas that work remarkably well on how to order their art.

They're 4 and under. The answer would be 'everywhere!'

Also to penis drawing on wall, would probably be an improvement to the current look to be fair.

Move the clock, make that a gallery wall? With wooden initials, photos?

The wall directly opposite has 6 large frames with b&w family pics in so a bit worried about essentially two gallery walls on opposite walls? I just wanted a couple of frames for the kids and a clock I don't know how its gone so wrong! 🙈😂

Ah, that’s a tough one. Maybe cut the 6 frames down to 4 and put kids pictures in the centre between them on one gallery wall?

Take the 2 and ask if kids each want one favourite family pic in their bedroom? Or you put in your bedroom? Or up the stairs?

B looks best out of your suggestions. Or the penis. Make it a feature.

What green is that by the way?

When I saw the first photo, I thought the Da Vinci you were referring to was a kid who wrote an A on the wall. Took me a few seconds to get it. I like the vertical too.

I thought this was going to be the home of that woman who painted pictures for a living and her signature was half the size of the picture itself. There was a thread about it from the sister's point of view.

I also thought it was a penis on the wall, but I thought you had added it to the photo to show your husband was a dick because of how he had chosen to display the pictures.

I'd also love to know what green that paint is please.

It looks unbalanced. What is on the other side of the clock. The clock is beautiful by the way, but it is very large beside those frames.

The clock doesn’t go right next to the pictures

You don't have to put kids drawings in them, just because they are art frames!

We photocopied our hands and stuck that in one frame. That never changes. We wanted the frames to all match though!

I think apart from being slightly low he's arranged it the best way you could with those 3 frames next to that clock. So, my suggestions are:

1 Add kids pictures and clock to gallery wall on opposite side and mix up photos and kids pictures and anything else you fancy. Decorative plates or mirrors or wooden letters or masks or woven bowls. Mix it up and add to it over time.

2 Move the kids pictures to another room (because you don't want two gallery walls opposite each other). Leave clock.

3 leave as is but add extra frames in pattern B.

Make good the wall, repaint it, start again. Half arsed jobs won’t make you happy.

Otherwise, move the children’s work to another room and install a large framed poster (if cost is an issue) that covers all the holes.

Greatest solution of all, never let him install anything without running it by you first, and test the location with pencil before sticking!

I was tempted to add the missing bits.

@designblind , take the pictures down and touch up the paintwork. The clock is enough for tha wall.
