Got an oak kitchen bench. - what would you put on top

Was thinking a sheepskin rug. Are they called that?

I can't really picture it at all. Has it got a back? A photo would really help.

If it's wavy edged, a sheepskin rug would look good.
If it's straight edged, I would have a proper cushion made to size. ( or a few smaller ones if it is for children who might argue!)
