Does anybody remember the plastic strips that were used to hang wall hangings or posters, back in the 1980s or 1990s? They were like a tube with a slit all along the length and you slid your wall hanging into them. You could also thread a loop of string into it and use this to hang it up. In profile, they looked like a "U" with the ends squeezed together.

I have something that I'd like to display using these, but when I search I just get those Command poster straps which are like velcro and won't be suitable for this item.

Diagram attached! The top drawing is the plastic strip and the bottom drawing shows how they were used.

If you've seen them on sale, or know what they are called so I can find them on sale, please let me know!

Thank you @aintnospringchicken . I did actually see this one, but although it only costs £3, the postage is an additional £5! It seems too expensive. Ideally I was hoping somebody might have seen a less expensive version somewhere...

There's magnetic versions? Hanging bit with a magnetic stripp then a magnetic strip to go over the item and hold it in place
