DFS sofa - order online or in store?

I've had my eye on a sofa for 3 years! Finally in a position to buy it and there's extra savings for the next 5 days.
Does it make any difference if I order it online or in store? I'm thinking consumer rights differences.

Bought a DFS sofa last year. Worth going into the store because you can actually sit on it, it makes a difference! They also allowed us to take the pattern book home for colour checking, we promised ( and did) take it back on the same day though.

we bought it there as well, why not, it is the same price. As it turned out it was quite useful, because they wanted to deliver it on a day which we didn’t like, and it was easy to go in and change the date by mutual agreement.

I’m not sure how easy this would be online, my recent experience of online purchases are of total non communication once you have stumped up the money.
