Boring but... Light bulb help

Trying to be independent because I've asked DH a million times and he's just not doing it 🙄

The light in my back room is really dim and because it's above the table, I really need it to be brighter. Sitting with the kids building lego etc and I can't properly see the instructions!

The sticker on the ceiling light says this

E14 Golf ball LED max 7W 230V

What does this even mean? Does it mean the highest watt light bulbs I can buy for it are 7W? I'm assuming that's what's already in, although I'm not sure, so does that mean it's just a really dim light? I don't know what's the point of that 🙈

Thank you ❤️

You need to take a bulb out and see what you've actually got in the light fitting. 7W is equivalent to the old 60w incandescent bulbs so fairly bright. You might find you need cool or daylight bulbs to brighten the space up if you've got warm (yellow) bulbs currently.

To me, the low lighting levels are more what you might want over a dining table for eating at rather than play and crafts.

Thank you, I have taken them out but it doesn't say anywhere on them what they are, so I'm not sure whats in there. They aren't bright at all, when I turn the light on I feel like it barely makes any difference 🙈

My house is very small and the table is used for absolutely everything, I really need it to be bright in there for 'activities' so low level lighting for eating is no good unfortunately 😑
