Bright floor lamp suggestions

Hello

My living room is quite dark and the ceiling light only uses very dim bulbs (I can't use other ones) so I'm looking to brighten the room up with a lovely bright floor lamp. It needs to be bright enough for the whole room. Can anyone suggest a suitable lamp please? I prefer mid century style but will consider anything!

thank you!

It might be hard to get enough light from one floor lamp only.
Can you add wall lights (plug in/battery) or table lamps?

Thank you for your suggestions everyone! We had an arch lamp years ago which was lovely but it didn't make the room any brighter so we gave it away. I love the look of the glass orb lamp! And wall lamps might actually be a good shout so I'm going to look into that as well. Thank you!

Something like this where you can direct the light?

Why can't you use brighter bulbs in your current lamp? It used to be that brighter bulbs were hotter, so would melt things (memories of melting my school ruler on my spotlight as a child!). But LED lights don't get as hot so you should be able to swap for higher output.

I have this lamp, and the bigger lamp is blindingly bright if you turn it up all the way, and will light up an entire large room on the dimmest setting. It's adjustable. https://www.lighting-direct.co.uk/dar-shelby-led-mother-and-child-floor-lamp-nickel.html?utmsource=shoppinggfeed&utmmedium=organic&gaddsource=1

My living room used to be pretty dim, too, and I totally get the struggle! I decided to grab a nice floor lamp to brighten things up, and it made such a difference. I found this mid-century style lamp that fits my vibe perfectly. It casts a warm, inviting light all over the room, making it feel way cozier.

If you like mid-century designs, you might want to check out Sunmory lamps. They have some really cool options that could fit the aesthetic you're going for. Plus, they’re bright enough to light up the whole space! One time, I had friends over for a game night, and we could actually see the cards we were playing with—huge win!
