Pinky brown walls, tan sofas?

I’d like to paint our (large, light) lounge a pinky brown - I’ll link a colour. We have tan leather sofas, sort of vintage style, DD says it won’t go as the sofas are too orange.
does anyone have this combo?

It might end up looking like Elastoplast have you got a tester?

I think it could work if you get the right pink. I put tan sofa pink walls into Pinterest and got a few nice images. Here’s a couple (I think the one on the right looks a lot nicer, not sure about the purpley undertone of the walls in the left hand pic)

Tan sofa with navy looks amazing.. Not sure about pink..

I think you possibly need a warmer more peachy pink

Twoshoesnewshoes · 29/12/2023 15:39

@minipie I like the one on the right too

As long as you have something with a colour opposite brown/ tan- pink on the colour wheel, it will be fine. Cushion, curtain with both colours in print, rug…..

My daughter painted a wall this colour. When her father walked in he said it looked like fresh/drying plaster.

The next time he went the wall was a different colour.

Oooh I love it!! I really like 70's inspired decor though.

I much prefer the left hand picture just to put a spanner in the works!

Love the pink and brown combo. I'd look to a slightly chalkier pink though the one you've picked looks a bit candy.

I also prefer the left hand pic posted above.
I think it could work if you are happy with a vintage style look, if you could post a pic of the sofas that would help?

The one on the left looks like chocolate brown to me? Which might walk, perhaps on the end wall?

I like a 1920s/30s style though not too obvious

Is it sulking room pink by farrow and ball, we have this in our kitchen teamed with a copper worktop and it looks great.

A terracotta might look good

I just looked it up via Pinterest, it’s Sherwin Williams “Dutch Cocoa” so that fits!
