Underlay or grip for rug?

Hi All,

I have bought a large rug for my living room, I have a laminate floor. I had an underlay for a rug before and it was brutal.

Does anyone have any personal recommendations for sticker things? Or similar to keep the rug in place? I've been looking online with mixed reviews

I just bought a new rug which is size 140x20 so not extremely massive. The kids and I were slipping all over thr place whenever we walked on it so I bought a rug gripper from Very.

I wasn’t sure as it was quite cheap and thought it’d be shit but the reviews persuaded me to try it. It’s so good! The rug hasn’t moved once since having the rug gripper underneath it. This is the one I’ve bought and I really recommend it

The Ikea rug underlay thing is very good, we have a few of them. No skiddy rugs in this house!

@RealBigBarbie thanks, your right the reviews are glowing! The last underlay I bought was awful. My rug is 160220 so I could by 2 160110, they don't have a single one big enough. I like that with very returns are really easy too

@RealBigBarbie sorry there is supposed to be a multiply sign there not bold numbers. DH looked at it last time. He things that you wouldn't want the underlay right up to the edges of the rug that you'd want it about 4 inches back from the edge of it, what do you think?

@Octocat just looked at Ikea, €10 for delivery 🤐still cheaper than 2 very ones, I'll see if I need anything else, ultimately costing myself even more!!!

I went with Ikea, I got a few other things I wanted. But they now do local DPD pick up for €3 so happy days

@Octocat just wanted to say the Ikea underlay is unreal! It's a big rug 220 * 180 and it does not move. The robot vac doesn't move it, toddler riding his little bike doesn't move it. I am honestly shocked how good it is!

Oh that’s great! Yes, we have it under a few big rugs and it’s like glueing them to the floor.
