Cupboard for storing linen?

If you haven't got an airing cupboard or any purpose built storage for linen, sheets, towels etc, where do you keep it all? Ours is currently in a wardrobe on the hall landing but it's a tiny space, and I hate having it there. We have got a half landing with a space about 160w but with only about 80cm height as it's under a sloping roof. Any suggestions for something I could put in there?

Could you fit a blanket box at the bottom of your bed?

A 3 drawer chest of drawers should fit comfortably in that height. If you look for 2 at 80cm wide (or a bit under to allow some tolerance) you could put two side by side.

One word of warning, if you're in an older house check the width at the front and back of the space. I learned the hard way when I made 5 shelves using wooden battens and it turned out the back of the alcove where I measured was wider than the front. The shelves were only 25cm deep so I thought it would be fine 🙈

Towels are in the bathroom, bed sheets in wicker hamper at the bottom of the bed, kids sheets in kids bedroom drawers, tablecloths in a cupboard in the kitchen!

We have a linen cupboard but the excess is in the ottoman bed in the spare bedroom

I have a window seat under my bedroom window with storage underneath - you could get something build in to maximise your space

I have a blanket box at the end of the bed & a pretty Victorian chest of drawers on the landing have a lamp & a few photographs on it so looks decorative as well as being useful.

Thanks for the suggestions. I did think of a blanket box but wasn't sure if I would just spend forever rummaging through it looking for what I needed. I couldn't fit a blanket box in my room, but I could try in the kids' rooms which will help.

I don't have anywhere in the bathroom to store towels, I thought drawers might be tricky for bedding etc as they seem a bit small. Basically I can only get one set of double duvet, bottom sheet and 4 pillow cases in a drawer.

I was thinking of something like this, but it's just a bit small even once I've massively sorted all our excess bed linen out www.oakfurnituresuperstore.co.uk/living-room-furniture/sideboards/francis-oak-and-charcoal-grey-painted-large-sideboard
