Side table styles to go with Chesterfield sofas?

We've (finally!) agreed on Chesterfield style sofas for our living room and we'll need new side tables as the new sofas are much bigger than the ones we have now so we'll need slimmer side tables. Any recommendations? Each table would have a small lamp and hopefully space for a drink to be put down. Floor is Karndean parquet and sofas (two opposite each other) will be the Next Gosford.

Next issue is getting DH to agree a decision on colour ... I am hoping it'll be a jewel colour or similar.
