Advice needed on sofa and curtain colour - picture included

Hello, we have a long awaited for new room, now build complete and I have the exciting task of furnishing it.

I would like to ask for your advice as I think the room looks a bit pastel and washed out, I think it needs a strong colour to bring it together. For info, there is a dark green bookcase on wall oppose to French doors.

We will most likely do a seating arrangement around the roof lantern, placing the existing sofa parallel with French doors and then parallel with wall to right, a new 3 seater. This will create a corridor through to the small window. We will get a coffee table for under roof lantern and jute rug to keep neutral.

Please tell me:

What colour 3 seater would you choose?

What colour curtains and Roman blind would you go for?

What colour coffee table?

What would you put in the 'corridor' if anything?

Any other accessories you would add?

Thanks for your help, much appreciated.

This is a lovely room. I think it needs a playful mix of gentle patterns, rather than blocks of bold colour, to enliven it. Blues, greens (and duckegg), and a bit of pink and yellow (basically what you'd see in a vibrant but soothing spring meadow: blue sky, white clouds, daffodils, pink cherry blosdoms, green grass, brown wood). Tickling (stripes) for the sofa, mixed with smaller scale block prints or florals/chinoiserie (Lewis &Wood has gorgeous prints and suggests which patterns/colours go well together) for window dressings. A large upholstered footstool as coffee table (Footstool Workshop, send in your own material), maybe a rattan side table (Mrs Alice). You also need ceramic table lamps (OKA or Pooky), a console table (behind the sofa) - ideally antique for instant character, 2 armchairs, and art (ideally original paintings. Look at auctions and antique fairs). A nice woolen rug that pulls together the colours of curtains and upholstery. And while my dh would strongly disagree, I'd hide the TV inside a cabinet. OKA has nice ones.

I recommend dfs Woodstock sofas in mint green( more a duck egg) and I also have the large footstool. It's a classic design and would look lovely. May be add one more soft colour in the curtains to bring it all together.

Thank you so much to you both for the detailed advice and pointing me in the right direction. I have looked at all the recommended companies you mentioned and lovely things to ponder over. Thank you so much! X
