Are they long or windowsill length?
And do you have a radiator under the window?

We have curtains in the bedroom. They are full length and there is a radiator under the window. It’s not a problem because we don’t have the bedroom heating on overnight

Only in one room with a deep bay. Full length.

NecklessMumster · 13/11/2023 22:52

Curtains are to bottom of sill, with radiators

CrispsandCheeseSandwich · 13/11/2023 22:53

We have full length ones in the living room where there is no radiator under the window.

Other ones come to above the radiator. Like a PP don't have the heating on overnight, but we do have it on after dark when we'd have the curtains closed.

Our bedroom has full length curtains with a radiator behind. Spring/summer we just close them, this tie of year we kind of tuck them behind.
Works fine because I really dislike short curtains, I'd rather not have them.

I would rather have full length curtains ( and in bedroom we do with a radiator behind) OR well made Roman blinds, Don't know why but I an not keen on half length curtains (Other opinions are available ) 😂

Chasingsquirrels · 14/11/2023 09:26

Most of my curtains end about half way between the windowsill and the radiator below it.

TryingToMakeSenseOfIt · 14/11/2023 09:27

Bedroom curtains are just below the windowsill. So are the living room ones, but we don't close them as we've got blinds as well.

We have full length curtains with radiators underneath but don't draw them when the heating is on, we also have shutter blinds so use them for privacy.
Although the are very heavy, lined curtains they are really there to soften the decor.
Nice in the summer though as along with the shutters, they turn the room into darkness (and keep it cool) even with the summer sun on the glass.

Full length curtains with full length windows, blinds with windows that don't go all the way, or almost all the way, to the floor. Personally not a fan of curtains being significantly longer than the window.

We have full length in frontroom and all bedrooms. The radiators are beneath the windows, so when we close the curtains in winter we tuck them behind radiator. Keeps draughs out and heat in 👍
