How to plan a gallery wall for photos?

I want to do a gallery wall in this space using my wedding pics. They're really lovely photos mostly candids. I'm trying to plan but online the planners seem to be for prints and some are huge like poster size and I don't want that big. How do I go about working out what would look good?

Print them out and arrange them on the floor before framing and putting up?

Or try your inner eye. Just look at the wall, then at tje photos and hang them up and move them around in your imagination.
