Hello,

How much would you budget for to get a new kitchen and bathroom in a house like this?

https://www.zoopla.co.uk/for-sale/details/65897418/

I know it's a bit like how long is a piece of string...but I can't get proper quotes before I buy a house. I'm after the cheapest to the middle road spec, not high end.

Thanks

I can't help with bathroom, but we got a new kitchen fitted, with more units than that this year for around £12k including new appliances and flooring. Kitchen from Wren in their 50% off units sale. Fitting by an independent joiner.

Thank you @LadyDanburysHat that's really helpful.

I'm guessing a bathroom would be less than that

Maybe £20k for both, c£12k kitchen, £8k bathroom. Prices have gone up quite a bit recently. Our kitchen was £13k (done this year) and bathroom done a couple of years ago about £6.5k but small and would say prices are maybe 20% up on that one now.

It'll vary by area and if person doing is charging vat etc.

I just paid £8k for my en suite (shower, no bath). My kitchen was £15k for a similar sized area a couple of years ago.

actually, looking at the floor plan, my kitchen is bigger with an extra run of units etc. down one wall, so not the same size.

Thanks all. Really helpful
