Changing from solid to glazed internal doors - help me choose (with pics)

Our hallway is really dark so I'm looking to either the single kitchen or the double living room doors for a glazed version but can't decide which and what style will look best. Full height glazed would be best for light but concerned we might feel a bit exposed particularly in the living room.

The solid doors shown are pretty much like mine and glazed doors are some of the ones I'm mulling over but

Anyone?

We had the 4 panel window ones, really miss them! Depending on where the light is coming from I’d go with something that gives maximum light. You could always put decorative window film on the bottom two if you find it too cool.

If you have pets think about nose & paw prints on full length glass (although I much prefer the full glass to the top panel one).

Depends on the house style and other internal doors. I would stick with the same style as all other internal doors, just swap for a glazed version. i.e. pic 3 - assuming all other doors are same as pic 1.

I'm a fan of as much glass as possible, so the full glazed.

If you've got pets/kids, you're forever cleaning anyway, so go for full light option.

Have you thought about frosted glass which would make you feel less exposed? We have frosted glass doors for our lounge (a bit like your second photo but frosted) All others are solid.

I'd go for the fully glazed ones. We have the same in white. We bought them planning to put sticky plastic on them to make them look like reeded glass (look up Emma hill on you tube/instagram she's done it). It's a good middle ground if you do feel exposed

Thanks all good point about cleaning but kids aren't tiny and pets don't get shut in the living room so less fussed about that. I'm leaning towards full length single large panel but just living room and leave the kitchen as is.

I think I'd match the style - so if your solid doors have panels as in the first picture, I'd go for more like the last glazed picture to keep the framework as similar as possible.

We have (not put in by us) a mixture of the 2 in the picture. I wouldn't choose the same glazed ones if we were to replace. Not sure I could do full glass panels either tho, so not sure what I'd do in our case.
