Purple / lilac bedroom

My child wants a purple bedroom. We've compromised on lilac.
Can someone help me find a lilac paint that isn't completely offensive.
I've tried all the dulux colours, they are all quite bold and extreme. I'm leaning towards one of the Lick paints but I'm loathe to spend that sort of money on paint for a child's bedroom

If you’ve got a B&Q with a paint mixing station, they have a massive range of colour chips available. You can also get almost any colour mixed in any shade, there’s a few places that offer this.

Another thing I do when looking for colour inspiration is to google image whatever I’m looking for and then use the dulux app and colour picker tool to find a colour match.

How old is DD? Could you let her choose the shade?

I used Lick Purple 01 in my daughters room. But only did half height. I’ll dig out a photo. Took a while but well worth it.

F&B Peignoir is a subtle lilac pink but I understand your reluctance to spend that much. I discovered F&B after trying to find a non garish pink for my living room so I think the more expensive paints do tend to be more subtle / nuanced.

For a child's room I'd let them have whatever they wanted even if I didn't like it

I’ve always let my children pick their own colours for their bedroom, it’s their space not mine.

My dd had the most sickly lilac ever. She chose it and loved it. Our only input was painting it.

Thanks all, I'm happy to go for the colour she wants I'd just love to make it tasteful if possible (also to match with lots of her other stuff!) I too had a lilac bedroom growing up and think if that's what she wants then it's fine!
But I'm liking the idea of doing half and half or now I've seen some wall stickers I'm wondering if I can convince her to go for a rainbow mural or something in varying shades of purple/lilac!

Thanks, I tried a tester of Hokkaido and it was lovely but I felt too intense for the whole room so doing one wall sounds like a good compromise. She would LOVE the glitter!!!
