Kitchen cabinet colours - white?

Dripfeeding here but I have an open plan kitchen and previously the room was magnolia and the kitchen was a country style cream with silver knobs and Sanderson flowery blinds.

My main room is now a pale tealy blue with some white furniture so I'd like to revamp the kitchen. Current plan is to go white but do white kitchens look nice? Also, what handles would you recommend to be more modern? Are door knobs old fashioned?

I'm not great with colours and didn't want to make a mistake!

I like white kitchens. I'm not into country style and like a plain minimalist look. I would have gone for handle-less doors but they would have been awkward for one family member so I went for a very plain metal D-shape. But there are lots of websites that sell cabinet handles so there's plenty of choice.

I think teal is lovely, but very difficult to match or find colours that 'go' with it, so white would be a safe choice and as you already have white furniture it should look fresh and restful with no competing or clashing ideas.

I found a good source of inspiration was just to go on rightmove and look at the kitchens in houses similar to mine.

@AudiobookListener i also have a brown bar area which i cant change so i dont want to clash everything hence the white.

@Thisthingwedo oooo a designer - can you recommend any handles!

Im basically just getting the doors all done as i cant afford to do more!

I wish mine was white!

Brown, teal and white will look fab because brown is the complementary colour to blue, but it's also neutral and natural looking so it won't competing.

@Thisthingwedo it originally had a country vibe with dark wood and Sanderson dandelion blinds, then I replaced all the cupboard doors a few years back for cream so it was brighter but still had the dark wood worktops.

Now I'd like it to look more modern in line with the rest of my home (id say it has a coastal vibe of light blue walls, brown sofas and white desks so I'm getting it painted white and want to change the blinds/handles and add maybe a splashback (though i havent a clue about those). The worktops can't be replaced.

The d handles look better than my choice of t bar. So I'd probably add knobs to some too. The blinds will always remain down so I'm debating light blue.
