Photo painted on canvas

Many years ago I used photobox to get a photo of DC painted on canvas. it's lovely and looks like a genuine work of art. Looking to do similar with some recent holiday snaps, however photobox no longer offers this service. A quick Google brought up many US sites. Anyone know a reputable UK company that might offer this service?

You can use Prisma app to create beautiful images

I was actually wanting something I could hang on a wall. Does the app have that?

Google Photos app. I got a couple of landscape photos from holidays printed on canvas with that, really simple to choose size and other options and then order. Came out really well.

I don't want photos just printed on canvas...What I'm looking for is a painted effect. Per my OP, I have some photos that were painted onto canvas. They look like paintings, not printed photos. There's loads of places who print your photos on canvas...I want my photo to look like an actual painting.

I think you need to create the image first, then getting it printed onto canvas is easy, as you say there are many places that will do that bit. So your question needs to be about making a photo into a painting effect (at high enough resolution to print at the size you want).

Although do you mean you want actual brush strokes that you can feel? Actually painted on?

In which case a company like this?

Yes actual brush strokes...like an actual painting. I'll take a look at those links, thanks for posting

hmmm. masterpiece direct looks like exactly what I want. Bit strange though - UK website, pay in EUR and artists are in Bulgaria!

Maybe have a look for some more and then check on Trustpilot to see if they are legitimate. I just googled “create a painting out of a photo”.
