Wall colour for master bedroom

Hi! I’m fed up of our dull looking master bedroom - due to maternity leave on the way we can’t afford to spend a great deal but would love to make it look a little better.

We have furniture from our old home - a grey fabric bed and dark wood antique - y bedside tables, the carpet is a neutral oatmeal shade. It’s a new build so quite a bland white box at the moment, window is West Facing.

Are there any colours we could use on the walls (and soft furnishings) to make it look a bit better?

I'm torn between going for a pale pink to soften the room up, and a deep dark green to make it feel all warm. I'm in a new build too and having a blank canvas is actually really hard for me to make decisions on!

If you fancy something a little bolder teal would work well with grey and dark wood. I feel your pain about bland new builds- I’ve found mine so much harder to decorate and bring some character to when compared to the little Victorian house I was living in previously!

Sounds like a lovely room. I'd go for a nice green. I'm going to go for Mylands' Brompton Road as a feature wall, alongside F&B Ammonite. I won't get the paint from these brands, though. I'll get them colour matched via a Johnstone trade paint centre.

We used Skylight in our bedroom-greyish bed, dark furniture and it looks wonderful.
