Good quality/price furniture brands? Interior design

I often struggle with finding furniture which is a good balance between price and quality.

Sometimes expensive items are not very well made and it's hard to tell, especially when looking for something of a style you like online. Same is true of things like clothes. But with furniture, I don't but enough of it to know which sofa or dining chairs are good quality at a reasonable price.

Any brand recommendations? How do you solve this problem? Is there a local shop you go to or buy online?

I just looked at these in person and they were really nice and comfy. But so expensive

Is it possible to get this level of quality for a bit less money?

Vinterior are always worth browsing. The chairs linked are from Poland, so I'm not sure of shipping or duties. You'd probably get similar from a UK supplier.

Vintage shops are worth a look.

Go vintage. Scour charity shops and auction sites for bargains.

The chair you have shared definirely has a mid century feel, so I would look on Facebook and auctions for similar. My reckoning us, if something is midcentury, its already 60/70 years old, and therefore great build quality. There are some midcentury makes that aren't as good, but this should be reflected in the price.
