Pale blue sofas.. what wall colour?

In my living room I have sofas which are a sort of duck egg blue, twill fabric. NO IDEA what I was thinking, but I have to live with them now. I'd rather not if possible paint the walls a complementary blue... But what colour goes with this sort of blue other than another blue?
It's a large room with a bay window and we'll just have had a fireplace put in. DH is wanting plum, I'm considering a pink.. just no idea really! Any suggestions welcome...

I immediately went "Pink!" from your title before reading your post :) Plum isn't a bad shout either.

A warm earthy orange would look lovely.

@HerNameIsIncontinentiaButtocks that's good.. it would be the fourth pink room in the house though! What shade do you think? Like a dusty pink?

Do you have photos of the fabric in situ?

A salmon or coral pink could work, but I wouldn't go for a baby pink.

Another option would be yellow - which shade depends on your exact shade or duck egg.

Or a biscuity/mushroom colour

I have a pale green velvet and have painted the walls a soft white. Added loads of colourful cushions and lampshades.

I feel bolstered by the votes for warmer shades, I was worried I'd be stuck with blues, greys and whites!

The sofas are this colour

Lots of things go with blue. Pink, yellow, orange, green, or brown could all look good.

I'd go for pink or green, but plum would also be under consideration....

But we have a mix of all those plus teal and orange in our current living room. Our main sofa is cream though.

I'd go for a mushroomy/taupe and channel english country and sophisticated. Layer in some creams, darker browns. Tweed, check. I think.plum could look cold, and pink has the potential to look very sugary.

I would go pink or yellow but I’m biased as we have Farrow and Ball Pink Groundin our living room and similar coloured sofas to you! I think yellow could also look nice depending on light levels.

I would keep it really neutral, but I guess it’s all down to personal taste. Duck egg blue with whites, beiges or pale grey Would be lovely and airy.
