Yes. I think mine does.

Teak sideboard, fluffy rug, velvet sofa and pouffe, knitted throws. Lots of plants.

It depends how big the landing is. We had a house like this once and the stairs were fine, we just kept all the doors off the landing shut. It was a modern house with good insulation.

But we got rid of laminate and swapped for carpet.

Also forgot to add we don't have a fire.

Yes. If it’s a very large area you can break it up with furniture, lamps and plants. Lighting will make a bit difference, you want it under things, table lamps, up lights. And not use main light often
