Herringbone LVT supply and fit costs?

I'm just wondering what your costs have been for herringbone LVT and how many square meters that was?
I've had a quote for 4.5k to supply and fit 38.5 square meters. This seems a crazy high price for me. I was hoping for no more than 2.5k. Am I totally unrealistic? The place who quoted I trust, having used them before twice with no issue and happy with pricing. They are doing my upstairs bedrooms, plus stairs and landing in Comar Inglewood Saxony for 1.5k which I'm more than happy with. But I can't afford the downstairs as it stands. I can get other quotes, but just wanted to see if it was worth my time to do so.

I have Karndean, done 3 years ago, and it was about £2.5k for 30 square metres. We were also quoted similar to you so it’s worth getting different quotes. We went to a local place, nowhere fancy, but they didn’t have the colour I wanted so they cut down larger pieces into the right size and fitted those. I love it - it looks fantastic. I’m in Yorkshire btw.

We've just had about 28 sqm for 2.5k

Depends what is included. We paid about 2k for Karndean in a small hallway but it needed a damp proof membrane and screed. The prep is really important for LVT & can be pricey. Herringbone is also quite time consuming so you'll be paying more in labour costs.

Don't get it. It's stupidly expensive for what it is. We have it and I regret it. Just doesn't look as good as other flooring.
