Hallway and landing

Getting ready to have hallway, stairs and landing painted. Quite a big area. Currently a boring neutral I chucked on years ago just to freshen it up while we got the rest of the house sorted. Both of us pretty much allergic to any white/magnolia/neutral/beige walls so it will be a definite colour.

Many samples have been purchased. These are the latest. What would you fo for? I'm leaning to the pink, DH to any of the three to the right so the blue, pink or the greeny grey one. DD likes the blue, DS just wants not the pink.

Floor is Henley Cool tile in landing and a grey striped carpet on stairs and landing

Please excuse DH's shoes and the kitchen blind temporarily on the floor while that room is painted! Darker patch above the stairs is fresh plaster where we've repaired after a roof leak so that will be fresh white like the rest of the ceiling. Multiple other samples since disregarded are on the walls. I've put up 13 now 😂

Top of banister is also going to go white to match the rest of it

I would go for the teal, maybe a bit darker than the one you have there. Or navy.

Ooh I think the purple or the teal then.

I go for the plum colour with white skirting boards.

I'm about to do mine and have chosen that colour. 🙂

The plum is really nice. I'm conflicted and have about 14 hours to decide!

Leaning away from the teal as too similar to one of the rooms off it.

Skirting boards will definitely be white and all the gloss work is getting refreshed too.

We had chosen a navy but thought it might be too narrow a space for it. So went back to Homebase for all the extra samples!

Your decorator won't be happy about those painted patches. Apparently pink is to be the new IN colour for 2024...

I like both the pinks but the lighter one better, and the sandy colour. The green is too overpowering and the blues a bit meh, but that’s just my 2p

Oh and amazing floor, Op!

He's seen them! Is well aware of our indecisiveness and faffing. And that if it costs us extra to have him take longer to make good that's ok.

I'll add some more photos when it's done. He's got a full day of filling first. Old house with lots of cracks and bumps.

The sage as it is a calm and neutral colour. It's the colour of my dining room and the landing at the top of the stairs too

Just a tip worked well for my chronic colour indecision:

I find it difficult to visualise a look with a tiny patch so instead I bought a cheap roll of lining wallpaper and painted 2 coats of each tester on a large section of lining paper then tape it up.

Useful for spaces like hall stairs & landing as you can take it down and pin up in different areas with different lighting. And you can take it away with you for checking furniture / flooring / other decor.

First coat is on and I absolutely love it. The pink was definitely the right choice. Bit more filled on top of first coat where the liner paper has come apart but but it's already looking so good

Looks great. Maybe do your radiator in the pink to blend it in?

I wasn't convinced until I saw your update, it's gorgeous and I'm not a fan of pink.
