Things that make your house a home

What are the items that make your house a comforting home? (I mean anything from nice cushions to cosy kitchenware etc)
Feel free to share pics of your favourite items too, I love looking into other people’s houses😛
For me it’s a lot of things as I love home decor but if I had to make a small list I’d say:

• pretty textiles with nice prints (rugs, cushions, bed linen etc)
• Travel souvenirs
• cute mugs and kitchen equipment in general
• candles

Throws and cushions.

but both DS7 and DH have told me no more throws and cushions as there is no where for them to sit now 😂

My wax meltsx room sprays oils etc. I buy from a lovely independent company where everything is all handmade. Love putting a scent in downstairs spray all soft furnishings oil diffusers and wax melts. Come upstairs for a nap wiry the baby and it's smells lovely downstairs. We have two labs who sleep on the sofa and it the morning first thing all I can smell is dog. Baby bottle and coffee first thing then the smell scents go on!

Family, dog, cat, books, photos, art, knitted throws, plants, comfy furniture, warmth.

Christ, I forgot the dog!! I always said a house isn't a home without a dog. Lost my last cat 2006,DH hates them, but have got a 10 week old border collie puppy,as well as an 8 year old. Very jealous of the wood burners,we do have an electric fake log burner, just have the effect on. Fluffy cushions and throws come out in October,( have had to put the lovely fluffy mats away for obvious reasons!
