Dog resistant covers for Ektorp sofas that aren’t too hideous?

Hello we are a doggy family. I have two 2-seater Ektorp sofas in cream 🙈 covers in our country farmhouse sitting room. The covers wash and dry well and work reasonably well in summer but now with autumn coming, I can’t hold back the tide of muddy footprints!

Can anyone recommend some decent practical washable covers in plain neutral
shades that are dog resistant, and can be washed and put back on easily please? Mist go over entire sofa ie the arms as well, not just seat and back. Must be able to buy on line and sent within EU. Thanks so much for any pointers!

IKEA sell covers don’t they?

Failing that, I have stretch covers from Plumbs. They're not particularly beautiful but they are immensely practical. Downside is you will get Plumbs marketing letters for evermore.

Yes they do - sorry I didn’t explain very well - I need one big cover to go over the IKEA covers ifyswim!

I have Ektorp sofa with a throw from Dunelm. I bought the largest size throw and it covers the whole sofa and doesn’t slip. They wash really well

Buy a spare pair in a different colour, or dye the ones you have

I see your update, personally I would get a couple of covers and do it like you would with bedding, change them regularly

I'd buy a proper set from ikea in the charcoal or other dark colour you like,(wash it with some waterproofing fabric protector).

On top of that I'd put a waterproof mattress protector (M&S do lovely ones that don't make a crinkling sound) I'd put it over the back, down over the back rest cushion, over the base cushions & tuck it underneath them.

then I'd put a stretchy cover over that and some easily washable throws on top. I'd have two sets of throws so it's no problem to swap them over & wash them.

PS: I think dig tax still applies!

I have purchased another cover from Bemz, really lots of choice of fabrics, and great quality. I have a seasonal switch over, which I love.
Bemz occasionally do have a clearance corner, which are cancelled orders. Keep your eyes out for that and you may get lucky.

I changed from cream to the Grey.
Found them more manageable. I have the 3 seater with chaise longue

If you have blonde/white dogs, the grey covers show up a lot of hair

Although, if you are a better housekeeper than I am which wouldn't be hard you might not find it to bad to keep on top of

Might be a bit late to the thread but we have (a lot of) dogs and I highly recommend these sofa covers from Ruff and Tumble. I'd previously bought a few of their towelling dog coats and they're excellent quality so gave these a go last winter. I bought 2 more within days of getting the first one 😄
