Blind advice - Transparency!

I'm thinking of some unlined linen blinds for a large north facing bay window in a home office. I want some light to come through them in the daytime and whilst we don't need full blackout privacy in that room; we wouldn't like them to be completely transparent either as the room faces onto a busy road and is used in the evening. It's nighttime with lights on I'm particularly concerned about. Anyone got experience they can share? I don't mind people seeing outlines of people/shadows etc. Just don't want them to see everything!

This is the blind we're thinking of: https://www.blinds-2go.co.uk/roman-blinds/43622/lumiere-unlined-laurel-linen.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIjIuZwIOHgQMVQcDtCh05GwEVEAQYAiABEgI4IvD_BwE

OP, as you mention the room is north facing, I'd reconsider - while those linen blinds are sort of transparent, I suspect they could make the room really gloomy and you may end up having to keep the lights on during the day, especially as it's a home office.

How about day & night blinds that can be adjusted to block/let in light?

If that's too 'modern' maybe consider using an opaque film on the window glass to provide privacy during the day + a proper lined blind for evenings?

i have a north facing bedroom and have these.
Sheer Shades | Window Shadings - Hunter Douglas
they can be raised, closed and positioned to light filtering or the third option of much darker (blackout available).
in some ways similar to zebra blinds but somehow less industrial and more polished in appearance.
i'm sure you could find similar in the uk.

Sheer Shades | Window Shadings - Hunter Douglas

Sheer shades beautifully filter natural light, bringing a bright and airy feel to a room. A spin on traditional blinds, they give any window a modern look.
