Impossible to remove wallpaper

I am trying to remove some wallpaper, and it has been so laborious. I think there might have been a layer of paint, then lining paper, then more paint. Wallpaper stripper isn't helping, nor scoring the walls and spraying with water.

Any ideas? I'm losing the will.

Have you got a steam wallpaper stripper?
Get one of these type of heavy duty scrapers too, I watch a decorator on TT and she scrapes woodchip wallpaper off and makes it look like she’s scraping butter with one like this.

Steamer for sure! Cut through 5 layers of wallpaper and a layer of lining paper in one of our rooms when we bought the house 😬

@MakeMineAMalbec I have two of them one of them is the 4 inch wide blade and I find it is easier to use, start in a hidden area first to get the hang of it so you don't gouge the wall. Have one hand on the handle and the other on the bit just before the blade to get a good angle and control the movement. It is a brilliant tool.

And you can use it with a steam stripper too. Although that can blow the plaster behind depending on the condition of your walls when you remove the wallpaper.

I find leaving the steam stripper running for a while with all the doors and windows closed really makes it just peel off.

Please don't do that.
My Dad told me of two decorators in Manchester that did this over their lunch break, wallpaper on the floor and all the woodwork in the room warped

How long was their lunch break?! How is leaving the machine running any different to actually using it for several hours?
