Sliding wardrobe doors for living space

Hi everyone,

We have recently had our garage converted into a small living space/cosy.

Because we no longer have a garage, I would like to section a part of the room off and place sliding wardrobe doors there so that I can store things behind it. The width of the room is about 3 metres and I want sliding wardrobes accross the whole wall.

I've seen some sliding wardrobe doors on Howdens but I'm not sure if they are too bedroomy? I've attached a pic.

Also does anyone have any other suggestions on which sliding wardrobe doors would look good?

Thanks.

I have these kind of doors to create a storage area in our back living room/study, but in a wood finish.

There are 3 doors on tracks that run the full width of the room which hide the shelving we have behind them.

We originally used the area as toy storage mainly but it's really versatile and as the kids have got older we've changed the use of the shelves and floor space beneath to house other things that we want to keep out of the way & out of view, like the paperwork files & the vacuum cleaner for example.

I agree that using these doors would be a good way to divide your space up, to be able to use the area hidden by them for storage purposes.

Thanks for your reply. Do you have plain doors or panelled ones?

IKEA Pax are 1m.

I think if you painted those Bowden ones they would look less wardrobe like.

Ours look the same as the ones in your image, with the panel effect, but they have a wood finish rather than being white, that's just because that is what looked best with the rest of our furniture/decor.
