We've lived in our house for a few years and are finally getting round to decorating our bedroom. Currently it's the same magnolia that everywhere was when we moved in.
But how do you decide what to do? We've got white furniture and a brown wooden bed, plus the floor is brown wood (not too dark or too light). That's all staying. But curtains (currently navy), walls, bedding, lampshade etc can all change. The room is a reasonable size, south facing and the window is 3m wide (basically the entire width of the room) so it's very light and bright.
I can find so many colour schemes and ideas that I like, although some are ruled out by the white furniture, but none that I really love. And I don't want to end up not liking it.
How do you decide on decor for a room? Do you start from one thing (eg find some curtains you really love) and work outwards from that? What colour are your bedrooms? I'd love to see any pictures for inspiration if anyone was willing!
