Looking for a new sofa.
I've seen a couple I like at J Lewis but each has bad reviews (going saggy etc quickly.)

I'd have to travel to see other makes. I definitely want to sit on it before ordering.

I was wondering about Loaf (but think I heard they are in trouble financially), Sofa.com and a few others.

Any ideas? Would be looking at a large 3 seater or a 4 seater.

I'm looking for something traditional-ish like this https://www.sofa.com/gb/sofas/bluebell-sofa/p/SO-BLU

We just got a new one from Sofology and we love it. Higher end quality.

I bought my latest from British Design Shop, gorgeous designs and a year in it’s as new.

Just whatever you do - don’t go to DFS! I feel it’s my obligation to warn everyone about how bad they are.

We have a Parker Knoll sofa and it is great. A bit more expensive than some, but I expect it to last, and it is extremely comfortable.

With sofas, there is a bit of a dilemma between comfort and looks. I personally find that seats with down feathers on top of foam are more comfortable than only foam, and dh insists on loose back cushions rather than fixed upholstered backs for comfort. These kind of sofas, wherever you buy, will need lots of plumping and sooner rather than later will look rather 'lived in'. So if you go for comfort, you'll need to ignore reviews that complain that the sofa started to look saggy after a couple of months.

Look at tetrad sofas - very good quality - mine is over 15 years old

We have a Sofa Workshop Dillon that’s years old and still looks good. We have an Aissa corner sofa from .com that’s 2 years old and still looks good. But it needs the cushions rotating and plumping every week and back cushions banged every day to avoid the lived in look.

I've also got Tetrad, very pleased with them
