How much did your Karndean cost?

Just that really!

We recently moved into a new build that came with bog-standard grey carpets (I asked for them not to fit the carpets downstairs, but it was apparently a non-negotiable part of sign off 🙄) 9 months in and they are already very tired and looking grotty as predicted, so this autumn will be floor replacement time.

I'm extremely handy, love a bit of a DIY challenge and previously laid Karndean in our old house. My issue here is we have very limited space and this would involve a certain amount of furniture shuffling if we were to remain in the property (all of which I'm happy to do) DH has floated the idea (possibly so he's not roped into furniture removal duties) that we pay the professionals to do it and evacuate for a couple of days.

I see his point, but I'm aggrieved at the idea of paying A Man to come and do something that I'm more than capable of doing myself (albeit somewhat slower) I've conceded that if it's not too much then potentially I would consider it. I just can't help thinking how much more effectively I could spend that money 😆

Please help me formulate my battle plans by telling me how much your installation cost and how long it took?

We had 3 rooms, downstairs cloakroom plus our hall done in Art Select ( one of the most expensive )Karndean earlier this year, around 55square metres. The floors had to be screeded. It cost £5 k. I’m really pleased with it and would never do it myself , far too complicated. We didn’t move out but had to spend a long time in the pub with a very perplexed dog the day the screed went down. It took 3 days, two fitters.
