Cushion help

I have a gorgeous tan brown leather sofa I love it even though it is really isn't my colour. For someone who doesn't love cushions it needs two pillow sized cushions and a couple of large scatters.

So I need pilow covers that don't look like bed covers, go with a tan but also slightly blue grey walls. And I am proper rubbish at this kind of thing.

I would go to Dunelm. Or I'd buy something that definitely just doesn't match.

It's the pillow shaped cushion that floors me. Well to be fair it's a pillow really but I need it cos it helps my back. I can get a pillow cover but it looks like... a bed pillow! Just like it to look a little more like a living room pillow!!

I like some of tge dunelm stuff. But the elusive living room pillow cover escaped me...

So you want a 50x70cm cushion cover? You can get a metre of upholstery fabric that you like and have a cover made. If you can sew it's pretty simple, if not find a local curtain maker or seamstress.

Well, speaking as someone who loves cushions (my DH thinks I've an addiction to them as we had 80+ at one time...so he might have a point!), I'd imagine finding ones that are pillow shape/size but that don't look like pillows might be difficult.

Do they definitely need to be rectangular pillow shape? Because you can get fairly large square cushions (60/65cm). We have a few of those - a couple from Timorous Beasties (£££) and some I made myself.

Speaking of which - is making them an option? You can buy the pads in all sorts of shapes/sizes (you could even buy pillows if that's what you really want), then find some gorgeous fabric and away you go!

🤣🤣🤣 I did make a cushion once. It involved hemming tape and fabric glue. Sewing is not a talent!!

Will look at timourous beastie, no I don't think they have to be pillow shaped but fo have to be decent memory foam and pillow shaped fits tge sofa surprisingly well
