Anyone like to help me choose a sofa?

I've got a challenging mix at the moment, especially as I dont want to change any of it... just moved in.

20s front room, high ceilings, polished wooden floorboards, square bay window, white woodwork.

Walls are a kind of eau de nil/pale green with a bluey feel. Love it.

Curtains are lustrous slub green, slightly acid shade, will try to add a pic. So could be a clash with the walls but I like it.

Dark wood Edwardian cabinet and dark brown clubman type armchair look good together imo. All fine.

Added a beautiful green and gold picture that is non negotiable.

I've imported an IKEA blue sofa. Now I've written that I feel the problem is that the blue is pulling the wall colour in a blue direction while the curtains pull it to green.

So I could see if I could do covers for the blue sofa, but I would like another sofa, unsure what colour though. I much prefer cloth sofas to leather, or id be looking st dark brown. I don't think dark brown cloth is right for that period though.

Well, the thread is helping me, anyway...

Dark green velvet? To be honest I have no idea but I like the colour of your curtains and you mentioned green and gold.
Blue doesn't sound right with the other colours, so I think you are right there.

Hm yes I wonder about dark green. Really dark maybe.

We've got duck egg sofas. Not the blue duck egg, but verging on a green. They may be a good match. DFS

Just looked and DFS call the colour slate. Looks grey in some photos but in real life it's not

Teal? We need to see more of the room really and the current sofa
