Sofa delivery times

Am I right in thinking sofas take about 6 weeks to get delivered?

Depends where from, ours was 5-months.

We ordered from Lucas WOF (Aylesbury) last Aug and we received it Jan.
UK made.

There was no delay, at the time of ordering we were told that was the lead-time and we were happy with that.

Mine from M&S took 3 months to arrive.

Shops like Next, M&S, John Lewis have some sofas that can be delivered within 7 days. IKEA sofas are actually really good and will be delivered quickly too.

Depends on whether they build it from scratch for your order or whether it's ready made. You can pick one up from IKEA or DSF, or wait for 6 months somewhere very bespoke. But yes, my experience is that the vast majority of mainstream sofa manufacturers, like Loaf, Sofa.com, sofasofa, swoon etc, where you get to choose your fabric and colour/shape of feet etc are about 6 to 8 weeks.

Loads of them are struggling to get the delivered at the moment. Don't buy from Fabb Furniture unless you want a 6 month wait

Damn. That's worse than I thought.

If its Italian leather, don't forget that Italy shuts in August- so add at least an extra month!

Recently, at DFS we were told 20 weeks for most sofas! Even longer for leather.

Yeah our leather sofa took nearly 6 months to be delivered, but we were told that at the outset. It was worth the wait though!
