Radiator Covers

Hi there,

I'm not a massive fan of radiator covers, but we're about to move house, and replacing (standard, early 2000s) radiators with something we like better (classic pillar radiators in neutral colours) is way down our list (somewhere after removing carpet from bathrooms).

In the meantime - what radiator covers would you recommend for:

Neutral/pleasant looking - inobtrusive.

Don't 'hold the heat in'.

Ideally with some sort of useful storage/secondary use, other than just covering a radiator.

Thanks in advance!

Honestly? Don't bother. Paint the rads to match the walls.

Okaaaay, now we're talking - would I need a specific type of paint for that?

No - emulsion or water based satinwood work fine. Satinwood has the advantage of being easy to wipe clean if you have kids/pets/other messy beings in the house.

I hate radiator covers - heat sapping dust catchers in my book 😁

I tend to feel the same about radiator covers @WeAreTheHeroes - and in the mid term, we'll replace the radiators with more attractive (and efficient) ones - but in the meantime, I'll satinwood the heck out of them! Thank you!

You can spray them too...
