Next sofas 15 years old - recover?

They're battered if cover but still comfy as anything. Would a frame of this age still be better than a new one? They feel solid
Any ideas how much a recover of two 2 seaters would be? I worry about losing them and gaining new uncomfy ones. Can't afford the ones I want anyway so may be a moot point!

I'm having a large sofa repaired (springs, cushion restuffing) and recovered at the moment and it's costing me just north of £2k, which is only worth it because I love it so much and a replacement new one is currently about the £8k mark.

So unless you go to night classes and learn upholstery, can't see it being an economical solution for normal sofas. Replacement loose covers might be an option though, depending on style.
