How best to complete this re-decorated room?

We have recently redecorated our bedroom in sage green/cream.Really love it but it feels quite cold and the left hand side and back walls (especially the left hand cream one) look very blank and sparse.Do I paint this in the sage green aswell? Or perhaps a dark green? (Abit scared of doing that as we had dark purple on the back wall before and it took DH bloody ages to cover, so not sure he would be keen!) Or the other option is to find something decorative to put on the walls? (Obviously it's a big space to fill so not sure what) Wallpaper not an option as we rent, unless it's peel & stick I suppose.
Ideas appreciated of how to make it a warmer less blank space. Thanks!

PS: Please ignore the manky carpet, which is soon to be replaced! 😅

Definitely all sage - I would also include the ceiling, skirting and even window frame. It's soothing - it won't feel like a fish tank😂

3 botanical prints in a line above the headboard in wooden frames. If you like family photos, I'd place them in a couple of small frames on your bedside table. 2 quite a bit larger bedside table lamps would balance things. A rattan lamp base would go nicely with the sage (see Pooky), or OKA does a lovely blush pink ceramic one. To style your bed, get 2 more pillows in simple white pillow cases below your current ones, then get 4 50x50 cushions to layer against your pillows, e.g. 2 sage and 2 white (Ikea does good ones for pennies), and then a white throw (wool is nice and tactile), folded in half, to go across bottom third of the bed. A large mirror opposite the window. You would need to go quite substantial, or you could curate a mirror wall out of several rattan framed mirrors.
Your bedside cabinets could be easily upcycled by simply changing the handles for rattan, bamboo or nautical knob handles.

Hi OP, do you mind me asking what colour/brand of paint the sage is? It’s beautiful!

Thanks everyone! Money isn't allowing us to change the bed or the bedside tables at the moment, but may do so going forwards (DH doesn't like the metal bed anyway!) But for the time being, I've added some pink as recommended (the lamps were a bargain on marketplace!) and definitely think that bringing the colour in has helped make it look less bland.Have also added more wall art/pictures.I know the family photos may not be to everyone's taste, but I think they work in well with the colour scheme.
Thanks for everyone's advice :)

Not at all- it's Johnstone's Natural Sage :)

I'd add some panelling and paint the other wall white. Cream makes it look a bit 'rental' imo. Needs some black framed prints on the wall too. Large mirror?

I like this home on insta, very my style and homely . Check out what she's done with her bedroom (on her insta account, there are other shots of the bedroom from different angles)

I'm afraid the bed would have to go for me. You need a wooden one - try eBay marketplace.

Sorry didn't see your update 🙄just your initial question!

I'd paint the bedside tables and bed black (Frenchic Blackjack is amazing) but might not be to your taste!

imo it looks lovely with the family photos along the side wall, because they actually mean something and there is always time to change, if you wish, to some shop bought artwork. I really like the flowers over the bed. Off to search for similar!

We recently painted our room similar colour and I want a set of botanical prints above the bed, a bit like the greenish ones in dark frames in @HRTeatime 's post. I think that would look great. And slightly bigger lamps in a richer colour.

Maybe a small narrow ottoman at the foot of the bed with a rich coloured throw on it (old gold or a deep cream or sage)

This sort of thing?

I like your family photos and you can add to it over time to make a gallery wall of your family. I'd paint the sidetables a darker green, maybe something similar to the dark green in your duvet. That would freshen them up but not be too costly.

Also, well done on your marketplace lamps, they look great.
