4 year old sleeps on bottom, as is like the princess and the pea when it comes to chinks of light coming through. How can she possibly sleep when her sister is shining lught on her.
7 year old needs some reading wind down time. She has a little shelf by the bed but could also clip something on. It needs to be sting enough to read by, but subtle enough that the 4 year old doesn’t really notice it on the bottom bunk…. Advice welcome wise ones

Derlights Clip On Reading Light, 28 LED Eye Protect Book Light, 3 Colour * 3 Brightness Bed Reading Light with Flexible Neck, USB Rechargeable Reading Lamp,Touch Control Bed Lamp https://amzn.eu/d/6qvAHng

This has three brightness settings and three tones of cool to warm light. Easy to turn on and off with a touch-setting. My DS loves it for reading. We recharge it every now and again on a USB charger plug which he can do himself.

Kindle paperwhite has a backlight...maybe when older?

A light that clips on to the book rather than the bed. It casts a very small pool of light.

Or a sleep mask for the youngest! DD had one that came in a Radox gift set one Christmas at a similar age and used to go to bed looking like a Hollywood starlet Grin

Was going to say, if they are an avid reader then maybe a kindle for next birthday would help? I read in bed all the time without disturbing my husband with mine

This is why I love Mumsnet! Thinking outside the box! You are all awesome
