What colour kitchen walls to replace slate and grey?

Please help!

I need to decorate this weekend so have to make a decision.

The walls at the moment are a deep slate on one wall and the rest a light grey.

The kitchen cabinets are high gloss white and work tops a oak wood colour.

I like a modern look but feel the look of the kitchen as it is becoming dated.

What is the ‘in colour’? I have no idea!!

Thank you 😁

"in colour" - the Pantone colour of the year for 2023 is Viva Magenta

In the link you will see what the complimentary colours are.

"in colours" have the potential to date quickly. Certainly Viva Magenta has the potential to do this even though it is looking very nice in my 90something neighbour's house just now as it is currently being painted to the alcoves on either side of her fireplace.

Pick a colour you like. Your kitchen sounds very neutral so the world is your oyster. Sage green could work nicely with a paler shade (dilute with white) on the other walls. Or change the slate to navy and see how that works. I have a kitchen/paint called Country Cream for the last 18 years, I like it so have repainted it in the same colour.
