Bedroom advice

Can someone critique my bedroom idea.

I do like these very large patterned headboards I keep seeing around but they are very expensive and surely not very long lasting as you might get bored of the pattern. I also am looking at ottoman beds for storage purposes but they seem to all have the big headboard but come in quite a limited range of colours, mostly gray and beige. I also see a lot of panelling behind the headboard, which I like the look of but am worried it will date.

So, I have seen this bed. It has a storage drawer underneath. I was thinking, could I hang a lovely throw or kantha type ballet over the headboard part, and then I could change it as and when I wanted to switch the colours round? And just paint the wall behind?

Would this work? What are people’s thoughts on lighting - wall lights on the wall behind the bed or are table lamps on bedside tables better?

That is such a great idea. I like the kantha quilts from Sourced by Holly and if you want to change it up you can do so very easily: https://sourcedbyholly.co.uk/collections/bedding?gclid=Cj0KCQjwmZejBhC_ARIsAGhCqnfY-eFbFyhsiXxO1jMuWl6ebblsCfMII2HMo5clCKkCqysZS6Z9rS0aAnHSEALw_wcB

I’m looking into getting a basic headboard then buying a fabric I like to bring it to life so that would be another option.

That's a great idea, op.

Where's the bed from?

The company is called Get Laid Beds

I'm looking at a similar idea.

I will either go for wall lights both sides or a hanging ceiling light both sides.

I would like to not have table lamps anymore, to free up bedside space.

Yes, low ceiling lights are a good idea. I do like lots of space on my bedside tables for books!
