Room inspo for boys 7 & 5

Hello,

I'm looking for some inspiration please.

My son and stepson (ages above), will be sharing a bedroom when we move next month. Although there's only 2 years and 3 months between them, I'm finding it difficult to create a balance of age appropriate decor to suit them both.

My son (7) is now entertaining the gamer phase, where my stepson is still into trains, animals etc. I really want this space to feel like it's home to them both, not leaning more towards one than the other. Can anyone suggest and website etc, that I can pinch some ideas from?

Hi @mumandahalf87 are you on Pinterest? I found that really helpful when looking to decorate my DC's rooms. Will your two be having bunk beds / midsleepers or normal beds? Both my DC (aged DD7 and DS9) have midsleepers and underneath that have their toy boxes / bunting / a curtain around it so it's a little den for them.

Next do lots of great gaming things - like xbox (going by memory!) blankets and lights and things. My DS is OBSESSED with racing and football so I managed to get some lovely things from Etsy.

I also like Home Sense for random / unusual pieces.

@Timtamtaffee I didn't even think about midsleepers, thank you! Having their own little corner with their own style would be fab.

I'll check out Home Sense, I love little unique, quirky pieces.
